Re: Indigo Export Help
Only the baked textures and transforming mesh should be the issue here. For the mesh try to use Indigo SubDiv modifier instead of Hypernurbs. Then Indigo does some HyperNurbs like subdivision on runtime of your basemesh >>link . For the Texture you define the baking resolution in them bottom area o...

Re: Indigo Export Help
Also takes up hell of a space, nearly 70GB just for 60 Frames..I have about 300, and I dont have enough, what do I do? Sound like you have some mesh that transforms for each frame, like a ocean surface inside a HyperNurbs... Its also possible that you use a lot of C4D filters and shaders, in this c...

Indigo Export Help
Hey there! I wanted to export an animation from Cinema 4D to Indigo to render it out. As I am quite new to Indigo I wanted to ask a simple question: Is it normal that after 30 Minutes of the "Exporting" Window, still nothing happens? Its not that complex of a scene, so I was rather confused that it ...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
Cool, a bit dark and as you say, a tad too blue maybe. But pretty good for a first scene, not the easiest scene to start off with either. :) You do know you can attach the images here directly, right? Yes I wanted it to be dark as it is kind of a graveyard, but with the blue I need to figure out th...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
To be honest I think you need to experiment a little more by yourself, and read through the manual, tutorials etc. And try the tips we've already given you. I only can second that. Learning 3D is a lot about trial and error, a road everybody of us needs to go. You seem to miss quite some bas...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
Glass normals problem I think. http://prntscr.com/a0qcwq Actually, the problem isn't coming from the glass, I removed the Objects which had the glass material on them in the screenshot, so it might be a problem of the lightsource, not the glass material..and I dont know where to start searching for...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
Best update to the latest version, so problems that have been fixed since your 3.8.12 doesn't come up anymore: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13849 The archglass checkbox is in the C4D Material in the transparency settings. Archglass made it worse I think..: http://prntscr....

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
I checked in both Cinema4D and in Indigo, but sadly couldnt really find it...can you tell me more about it?FakeShamus wrote:yes, looking at your image, in this case it's probably mostly due to the glass, as Oscar J mentions.
either eliminate the glass from in front of your light sources or use the arch glass.

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
Arch glass is architectural glass right?Oscar J wrote:Yeah, my tips will help with those fireflies.
You could also try to use Arch glass on your lanterns instead of normal glass.
I looked for the option but couldnt find it right now, I have Indigo 3.8.12 by the way.

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
Okay, set the mode to blackbody, looks quite nice now..only thing is that there are these little points everywhere reflecting, where they shouldnt be.. this can also be helped by trying to match the intensity of your light sources. if your env map is relatively weak in emission scale compared to th...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
Glad it's working for you. Regarding the lanterns, you might have to crank up the brightness quite a lot more than you'd think to make them visible. You could also try assigning them to a light layer (one of the best things with Indigo) and play around with the brightness and colour until it looks ...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
The dark scene thingy happens because you are using Reinhard tonemapping, which adapts itself to the brightness in your viewport. Trouble is in your case, that you are looking directly into the very bright light source, making the the rest of the image underexposed. Try using Camera or Linear tonem...

Re: Indigo HDRI problems
You again used a JPG as a environmental map to light the scene  Here a example of how to setup HDRI light in C4D for Indigo: setup.png HDRIs need to use a gamma of 1.0 that can be raised slightly for more contrast and harder shadows to lets say 1.2. Okay so no Filters or anything, just the pu...
