Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac

Post by benn » Tue Sep 08, 2009 3:29 pm

New build for Linux, should fix a bunch of stupid errors that have been in the latest Blendigo on Linux builds. Please download, use install.sh and report bugs.

http://www.indigorenderer.com/dist/expo ... 2.1.tar.gz

Mac users:

http://www.indigorenderer.com/dist/expo ... -2.2.1.zip

I'm working hard to get Blendigo in shape. It's a great bit of software, but I feel embarrassed at the number of bugs in it.

A Windows build of 2.2.1 are coming. Changes:

* .igmesh support
* Bug fixes
* Installer script for linux
* Fixed mac os installer
* Fixed material preview on mac and linux

Sorry for the long delay in getting a stable Blendigo out.

Ben

Hi ,

I try it , manual copy the script ( blendigopkg , blendigo.py ) in the ......//blender/script
and run the "render with indigo" script ( blender 2.48 and 2.49b ) .

the script can't run :

"
----------------------
BLENDIGO v2.2.1
----------------------
Linux-platform: linux2 os.sep: /

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/BLENDER/2.49b__64bit/.blender/scripts/blendigo.py", line 3825, in drawGUI
responsecurvepath = os.path.join(indigo.getResourcesPath(),"data\camera_response_functions")
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/posixpath.py", line 62, in join
elif path == '' or path.endswith('/'):
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'endswith'
"

Laszlo - can you download and run the installer again? I have made a bunch of improvements which should fix your issues.

You need to run ./install.sh to install it. :)

Ok , but can't work.

I find the problem. My blender and indigo isn't my home folder and the script can't work .
I have a lot of version blender and indigo.

When I start the scripts ( script>render>render with indigo ) the error messages now :

"

File "/BLENDER/2.48__64bit/.blender/scripts/blendigopkg/indigo.py", line 19, in getResourcesPath
return open(os.path.join(os.path.expanduser("~"), ".indigo/location")).read().strip()
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/laci/.indigo/location'

"

Did you run the ./install.sh - you need to create a file:

~/.indigo/location

That contains the location of your indigo directory, like:

/opt/local/indigo/

Hi ,

I change the install.sh with my Path and run it.
The new error messages in terminal :

"
Compiled with Python version 2.5.4.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
File "/BLENDER/2.48__64bit/.blender/scripts/blendigo.py", line 65, in <module>
indigoLogo = Blender.Image.Load(os.path.join(assetsPath, "indigo_logo.png"))
IOError: couldn't load image
"

I find the "indigo_logo.png" > ~~ /.blender/scripts/blendigopkg/assets/

I'm guessing you are making assumptions about paths ben? I haven't had a blendigo installation fail on mac prior to this release. With release of Snow Leopard I decided to do some restructuring of my system layout and I no longer install blender directly in the applications folder. Can't think of anything else that would cause this to fail.

There were times where we would install an app just by dragging it to the app folder... those where the times...
