"Broken installation of Blendigo, please reinstall"

Post by ryder088 » Sun Jul 05, 2009 6:09 pm

Blendigo 2.0.6 just won't work. The console says:

Code: Select all

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
  File "C\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts\blendigo.py
", line 2630, in <module>
     print(indigo.getGuiPath())
NameError: name 'indigo' is not defined
Also, I have Python installed, but Blender does not detect it. It's also in my Program Files folder.
Someone said that Blender doesn't detect Python versions higher than 2.5.2, tried installing an older version, nothing happened.

I really need you help here.
Thanks in advance.

Hi - can you try the new Blendigo 2.0.9? It is much more reliable.

Let me know how you get on.

Nope, nothing happened. Still the same.

More details: the .py of the script is in the scripts folder. I really really think that the 'lack' of Python is the reason, but I still cannot get it working. This is really driving me crazy.

Nick had problems getting blender working with python. Please try uninstalling your python - installing python 2.5 from here:

http://python.org/ftp/python/2.5.4/python-2.5.4.msi

Then reinstall the latest blender 2.49 and Blendigo should work! :)

Ok! Thanks a lot for that! It works perfectly now! Thank you so much :)

EDIT: Ok, not as perfect as I thought but meh. You know those files with packed textures? Indigo doesn't read those, so is there any way to unpack them into a folder? Sorry if I ask so many questions

You can unzip .pigm files with an unzipper - rename to .zip. We are fixing the next blendigo to use these files directly.
