Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
I know how to fix it - you have to delete blender.app from your applications directory and then reinstall it to your applications directory.
OR!
Go blender.app -> show contents -> contents -> macos -> .blender -> scripts -> delete blendigo.py and blendigo folder -> re-run installer.
It's because I use admin priveleges to install the blendigo plugin and for some reason macos freaks out. I think.
Either that - or you don't have blender.app in your Application directory.
Can you add me on skype? bennolan - and i'll walk through the steps?

Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
I brought this up in another thread, but I have never put the actual Blender.app in my Applications directory. every release unzips to a folder with all the other content that's packaged with the Blender. I don't know why anybody would place all of that directly in their applications folder. it would be a mess. the installer needs to have a browse-able installation location.Either that - or you don't have blender.app in your Application directory.

Hello,
I tried to render a scene on x64 linux system just with a cube or a sphere, sun and camera but I got an error on indigo startup (indigo and blendigo download on the fisrt page of the website).
console:
my cube or my sphere got a material. I installed with your install.sh script, I also tried to remove blendigo.py,blendigo_folder and re-install with the version "wich" benn have send on this topic.
I don't know if you can understand me clearly
I'm trying to send you files created in my /tmp ( erf sh and igmesh not allowed....)
cube_0.igmesh:(erf I'm unable to open it)
I tried indigo/blendigo in 2008 and now I'm going to re-use it, and .... wow what a good work you've done !!!

Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
are you sure igmesh is not a binary format laszlo ???(unreadable with text editors)
is it possible to show source igmesh of my cube?
I used blender 2.48a and 2.49b, I can't get older version like 2.48 on ubuntu....
does the old mesh format (xml) work with indigo 2?

Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
Sorry for the confusion, but Blendigo 2.2.1 has to be used with Indigo 2.2.1
Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
huhu !
There's Blendigo 2.2.x for linux and no indigo renderer 2.2.
There's Indigo renderer 2.0.x for linux but no blendigo 2.0 rendrer......
I'm talking about the main download page on this site

Yes, this has been pointed out more than once already on this forum. But it is still just being ignored.djé wrote:huhu !

Indigo for Linux has a very low priority, this is a fact that can not be denied. It has been proven over and over again. And yes, ono and benn probably have their hands full, but fixing the error you are pointing out shouldn't exactly take months... So if your only OS is Linux (I'd love to go all linux myself) it might be a good idea to check out some alternatives to Indigo too. Lets hope this will change in the near future because Indigo is still a fantastic render engine - my personal favourite.
Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
Yes, sorry about that, it's a bad situation.
Next beta build I do (v2.2.4) I'll make a linux build as well, Blendigo 2.2.x should work with that.

Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
That would be truly appreciated. Now, I'm not a programmer or anything but it must be possible to set up an automatic system for compiling Indigo for all the various platforms so no one will feel left out and so it doesn't take up too much time...OnoSendai wrote:Yes, sorry about that, it's a bad situation.

While trying not to kiss your ass or anything, I'd still like to thank you for all your dedication and hard work - and of course, for actually listening to all our bitching and moaning

Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
No problem ono, I know you're of course "busy"( don't know if it's good writting for busy).
and yes I'm a full linux user (not using adobe suite, and others ^^). 3D rendering or modeling is not my job, it's my "hobby" so..... I'm waiting

Re: Blendigo 2.2.1 for Linux and Mac
Indigo responds with an error when attempting to render:
Error: SceneLoaderExcep: Failed to load texture '/private/tmp/../Users/peterdoering/Documents/Blender - Projects/House/Suzanne/wood-14_b.tga': Error loading texture file '/private/tmp/../Users/peterdoering/Documents/Blender - Projects/House/Suzanne/wood-14_b.tga' - file not found
I use Blender 2.48a, Blendigo v2.2.1, Indigo 2.2.1
on an iMac w/ Snow leopard.
my .blender directory containing the Indigo scrips is in my user directory and not in the standard location in Applications/Blender.app.
A search on the forum yielded little more that a post from September reporting the same problem (different OS if I remember correctly) however no solution was provided.
