Thanks for all the hard work, but the error persists

Post by scatman » Mon Jul 06, 2009 12:23 pm

in every blendigo build since 2.0.6, I get the error seen below when trying to render a certain blender file:
Error: SceneLoaderExcep: WorldExcep: Can't set a background material when it has already been set. (In element 'skylight', around line 53, column 5)

I don't get this error with blendigo v1.0.9/indigo v1.0.9, though...
I guess there's some new blendigo/indigo setting that I don't know about. I'd love to enjoy the new indigo build (2.0.6), but until I can get it to render all of my previous scenes, I'll just have to continue using the previous indigo/blendigo (pre 2.0.6) build. :?

Have you sent the scene to Ben/Ono?

Care to PM it to me?

I'll put on my white lab coat and try to figure out the problem (or pretend I can figure out the problem.)

Hey Scatman,

The problem is that you have more than one lightsource in the scene. Sorry for the awful error message - if you delete one of your suns (or one of your lamps) then the scene renders fine. Smartden and I are working on making blendigo be much more robust and not produce broken indigo files.

that's why i said you that's not a good idea to convert all blender lamps in indigo suns.
Check normals, dude!

Thanks Ben and Godzilla. :D Removing the other lights from the scene was it! My confidence in the new indigio/blendigo (2.0.6/2.0.9) is restored. I'll test some other scenes and come back to complain...er---um...request help if necessary. Now if I could just hack my way out of that watermark (I didn't type that in English did I?).

Thanks again,
scatman
