Working on search! Thanks for the feedback everyone - I admit I put the new version of the site way too early - I am sorry for the inconvenience but bear with us - it'll get better!

Well.. Out of curiosity, are animated menus possible with some other system? :)

The new menus you added under the forum and docs links are not working for me. Can't click the content because when I move my mouse they close immediately. Using IE 7 here.

I share the opinion, that developing site like that in live is not the proper way to do it. Specially not with the active site like this one. Also currently it has no design at all. You probably don't want to hear this, but if I were you, then I'd put the old site back to live and move the wip to a temp space for future experiments. Also get some pro guy to do the design work for you. At least for the front page. It is your front entrance, your market place, your advertisement campain. Having minimal design is cool, but making everything white = no design at all. At least not in my eyes.
You need some eye candy to attract the customers. Only pick the best work for the front page (and I'd say to the gallery also). The pro site of the pro unbiased renderer must be visually appealing. Even sexy (if you like that word better).
Currently it seems a bit like you're "out of control" and acting randomly according to what someone tells you on the forum.

Ps. I'm not complaining, but trying to be constructive

The tremendous amount of unused white space really detracts from any sense of visual interest.. Maybe have a slideshow of indigo renders.. Or a some soft of video of indigo in the background..

I do mind the immense white background but I would advise against anything animated as a backgound element. You wouldnt want the distract the user from the actual forum.

Oh - I see what you mean about the white space.

I don't full screen my browser windows - so I didn't notice. :)

I didn't make the forum full screen wide because it doesn't read well if you have more than 80 characters wide (the old newspaper column article). :)

The animations would only be in effect when we hovered over a button at the top menu and for a few moments afterwards.

Still I think that would be better suited in the gallery in some sort of "slideshow". I really liked how on the old sites you had a batch of indigo renders which would fill the top bar at random each time you refreshed the page. I thought that was neat.

Hey Borg,

I think everyone liked that - so it'll definitely be coming back. :)
