hey godziilla,

heres a test id did a long tie ago:

"more than 20.000 instances, each 7.2 million tris.
making a total of 144544154838 triangles (144.5 billion). "

But they are floating

and here's another one:

"exactly 160.000 instances, each 28.05 million polygons.
making a total of 4.889.187.200.000 polygons (4.8 trillion polygons)."

Well, Cinema 4D certainly seems to be better than Blender at handling instances.

Great job fused!
(Perhaps I missed something?.. I Alt+D'd the model, is this not the correct way to make an instance in Blender?)

I still don't know, I personaly asked three times without answer

My conclusion is that Alt-D doesn't make instances supported by indigo, but particle generator do

Fused is here the man.... he integrated a indigo instance that doesn't kill the viewport, by this its possible to get such masses of instances. With the native C4D instances you would die painfully here!

A recent diamonds image that I've just done. Quite a bit of PShop was needed as the diffraction reflections was just too speckly.
