Intone furniture

Post by dakiru » Fri Oct 02, 2009 3:56 am

I've finally finished my furniture design. Through a huge battle with a brocade material, used in the second scene :lol:
Table model I didn't model, it is from http://archive3d.net . And a small one I re-modeled from a big one. Comments & critics are very welcome :)

edit: yes, exit portals in the second scene and it was a huge speed improvement :)

Beautiful modeling and gorgeous renders! The second and third are my favorite. Wow!

So Dakiru! Another two good works!!!
Among the two, I like better the first one: seems like a studio scene for the pieces of furniture, almost photorealistic to me. I don't think you made any postpro work, am I right? I think also that a contrast tone in between the first and the second shot would be best: the first image is a little flat, the second one is a little too dark for me. Nothing that a little "levels" in PS wouldn't fix BTW :wink:

The fourth image is too extreme for me!!! :lol: :lol:
The third instead is curious: so cured in the details, but nothing outside the windows, an almost empty room..I would have bet it was one of your WIPS!

Awesome modeling skills!
The floor in the first pic is awesome, can you share it please? :)

@Whaat: Thankyou :) I want to make more after such a reaction :D

@Pibuz: No post pro. I am very bad at post pro, so no post pro :mrgreen: I agree with the emptiness out of the windows. It's because I the aim was to focus the attention on the inside part of a render.

@PureSpider: This one is from commercial texture pack. So, I don't know, if it would not make a problem for Glare Tech, if I upload such a material to the matDB, even if I bought the pack and even if I remake the texture :?:

@Benn: That's great :) Thank you!

Finally I was not lazy and finished the second interior. Pibuz was definitely right — it looked like a WIP. Critic is very welcome!

Rendering time was 91h 41m. And such a long render time was because of the curtain (or my lighting setup was not good :mrgreen: ). And still at 30109spx image was little noisy, so it needed to denoise a bit.

That curtain looks very strange, I guess it's really thin.
Render is beautiful though :)
