Thanks ashscott. I'm not sure if it's already high end processing power, but for the lancer render, I had an intel quad core 2.66Ghz with 3GB RAM running on Windows XP to do the job.

Twice the power (cores) of mine. I'm setting up a home render farm, to compensate, from cheap computers if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. Just whatever I can get my hands on for free or cheap and hardwired into a cheap hub. Has only cost about $100 thus far. If anyone has experience with this sort of thing send me a message.
