Post by mcompton » Fri Sep 11, 2009 6:26 am

I keep getting these fractals in my renderings...using the face style "monochrome", I can verify that my faces aren't reversed...please advise

Looks like something weird might be going on with your mesh, any chance you could post an offending section of model?

interesting enough...when I deleted the rest of the model to send you just the offending pieces...I rerendered and no fractals...is there a size limitation to Skindigo?

its maybe a scale related problem. is the object realistically scaled?

I was thinking the same thing. His model may be far too big.

Z-fighting? Maybe you had some coincident faces and you deleted them before you re-rendered?

I hope you can reproduce this problem and post the scene here. I'm very curious about what the problem is.

mcompton - nice model btw. Do you work for an architect or? Are you using 2.2 or 1.1.18?

In the other thread he stated that he uses 1.1.16 :)
An update was already recommended....

Yes it is appropriately scaled...1'= 1' and yes I am an architect using 1.1.16

Still getting the fractals when all models are together in the site...in addition I am now getting this message:

"Finished building tree.
AutoFocus: setting camera focus distance to 141.46155 m.
Error: IndigoDriverExcep: Memory allocation failure while allocating master buffer.
Stopped."

PLEASE HELP!!! :( :( :(

Hi mcompton,

The fractal issue is either a z-fighting issue like Whaat said - or if that is not the problem, then it will be a bug with incorrect triangle intersections in Indigo. This issue was fixed in 2.0.6, can I recommend you download 2.0.12 and see if that corrects your issues?

http://www.indigorenderer.com/dist/beta ... _Setup.exe

The latest bug you reported is that you are running out of memory. How much memory do you have in your PC?

I hope we can get this fixed for you!

Ben

@benn

I might be ignorant, but why shouldn't he download Indigo v2.2.1? :?
