Is SkIndigo 2.0.12 working for you on OSX?

Post by Whaat » Tue Aug 11, 2009 2:37 am

So far, I have got nothing but bug reports from Mac users. If you are a Mac user, is SkIndigo working for you? If no, please post the error message or problem you are having.

Thanks.

I've been following Indigo's development for a while now, but am very new to using it. I'm currently kicking the tires (SkIndigo 2.0.12 on OSX) and considering purchasing one of the lifetime licenses before they're gone if I like what I see.

Quick question - and my apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. Whenever I try to do a Sun & Sky render, Indigo reports: "Error: SceneLoaderExcep: Found unexpected element 'sun_layer'. (In element 'skylight', around line 46, column 9)" The render never has a chance to start.

Any clue as to what's going on?

Many Thanks!

You're probably using too old Indigo version that is not compatible with your Skindigo version.

Ah, yes. I inadvertently had skindigo opening an older version of indigo. That solved the problem. Thanks suvakas!

One minor annoyance that I am now noticing, however. Skindigo is properly exporting the default.igs file, but Indigo is not opening it automatically. I have to manually open it after each export. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Which version of SkIndigo are you using? I thought I fixed this issue a long time ago. Try downloading the latest version.

What folder did you copy the SkIndigo files to?

I'm using Indigo 2.0.12 and SkIndigo 2.0.12b.

My SkIndigo files are located here:
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Google Sketchup 7/Sketchup/plugins

Everything else seems to be working fine based on the little bit I've used the program. I'm really enjoying it, impressed with it, and looking forward to gaining much experience with Indigo. And potentially buying a full license.

Thanks for the support!
