@lotr

It will be sexy, don't worry - I fixed up the windows gui just recently, so it'll look nice too. :)

Well Benn so far you are saying and doing the right things

The Big O should have had you on board sooner :P

Just keep doing the talking while ono is in his room coding.

WytRaven,
I make no secret of the fact I think ono has all but f***d Indigo with the choices he has made so far
Its good to see he found someone else to do the things he cant like communicate with and involve users and exporter writers.
If Benn can code the stuff ono isnt interested in doing like a pretty UI, and look after the website, and be a frontman it its a very good thing.
Ono can get on with what he does best.
If Ono is serious about making a commercial success of Indigo after all the unpaid hours of effort he has put in then this is the way it has to be.
Without the attributes of someone like Radiance or now Benn this project would be terminal no matter how nice the results from the code might be.
As it is I am not sure that the 'window of opportunity' hasnt been closing for a little while but good luck to them and good luck to those continuing with exporter developments into the 1.2 series :)

BTW I am charmed by your personality too :D

As often you are pretty convincing Big Fan, say, plausible. But you must admit that you are just speculating on Ono's motivations and determination; I would not.

Honestly man I have no interest in ono as a person at all.
Never met him no wish to.
It doesnt strike me we would have anything in common anyway - age being one of the more obvious factors
In the beginning I did my best to help him along a path that would lead somewhere. His goal was to sell SDK to large companies to recoup his time making it
He was very fortunate Radiance picked up on his fledgling work and publicised/ made a proper website for it or it would not exist as it does today
If he is smart he will admit he cant do this alone and make the most of this second and perhaps final opportunity he has.

You may have different ideas and perspectives than I do.
What I choose to do and say is up to me

On the other hand Big Fan, your experience helped me to determine the reasons why I was here, in a manner I hope where I won't have to expect anything too badly, because after all the man takes the initiatives when he wants to and not when he is talked to; rather sane of a behaviour when one wants to keep control. Control wich is ONLY related on how the development phase is going (optimally at least), and not on someone's expectations or "good sense", because, still and again, anyhow big the beta team can be etc, I see Indigo as a one man project, period. No offense benn :)

Now on the facts you are exposing: fine, I won't argue against facts, but that's a fierce way of expressing your own anger and despite (imo if that must be precised ), I'm sorry Big Fan.

Regards

Now that's going OT, so if we have to go on either you or me create a dedicated thread.

edit, to Tungee, below: wooops misread your post sorry.

CTzn

sorry I have read your post several times and I dont understand what you are saying in there - i guess English is not your first language...

I may be outspoken but I am not about 'morally undermining any potential users' ( whatever that means..) and I have no investment in Indigo other than my time spent mostly on my own Blendigo version tailored to Solidworks purposes.

Blender people are spoiled for choice of renderers these days.
They will make their own decisions about which one to use.
Hopefully Smartden will keep going with Blendigo for their benefit and Ono will get his act together with Benn's help and achieve the success he deserves

As I said before good luck to them 8)

You are correct on quoting me, I removed that because I wrote it after I misread Tungee's post who has absolutely nothing to do in our argument wich is in turn definitly off topic. Put the blame on me, and on my english indeed. Or maybe put it somewhere between that, and you. You didn't miss that occasion, I'm sorry I gave it to you.

Thanks to everyone who applied - the beta group will be setup in a day or so, and hopefully we'll have some new software out by the end of the week.

ps: Please keep posts on topic.
