Our leaderboard of material database contributors has been changing recently, as Whaat (the developer behind SkIndigo, our famously easy to use SketchUp exporter) uploads plenty of new materials. It's going to be a few months until our material database can compete with some of the other raytracers

We now have a materials database leaderboard so you can see who are the most prolific and successful material creators. There is still a bug which prevents recent users from uploading or commenting on materials - that'll be fixed within the next week.

I've made some changes to the material database. You can now view your favourite materials - here are mine. We also show the date next to comments, and have fixed downloading .pigm and .igm files - before they weren't saving with the correct extension - that is now corrected.
