SketchUp to Indigo issue

Post by Mads-LS » Sun Aug 05, 2012 4:15 am

Hi!

When I do the following actions "Plugins -> SkIndigo -> Render Scene" in Sketchup nothing seems to happen.

Does anyone know what I can do to make this work propperly?

Hello and welcome to the forums!

First question: Is the Indigo application properly installed? Are you able to successfully launch Indigo?

I suggest that you take a look at the video tutorials for SketchUp to Indigo here:

Hi! Thanks for help :) Both programs run properly and are placed in the right locations, but nothing seems to happen when I try to run the "Render Scene" or the "Set Indigo Path" actions. :S

Please open the Ruby Console window when you are attempting to render and let me know if you find any error messages.

Thanks!

I have the same type of problem. However I can run Indigo once from within sketchup then nothing will happen if I run it again. Was working fine till today. Here is the Ruby Console info:

"Traversed model and got instances in 0.0 seconds."
"Built meshes in 0.012 seconds."
"Exported meshes in 0.02 seconds."
"Exported instances in 0.001 seconds."
"------SkIndigo Export Run------"
"Faces 22"
"Instances 1"
"Component Meshes 1"
"Meshes loaded from cache 0"
"New meshes exported 1"
"Spheres 0"
"exported in 0 seconds."

I have the same problem. I just updated from Indigo 3.0.14 to 3.4.16 and the new SkIndigo that comes with it. Can open Indigo Renderer just fine but cannot start rendering from SU. This really is the last thing I want to happen with my project deadline closing in!!

Here's my Ruby console,

"Traversed model and got instances in 0.0820000000000001 seconds."
"Built meshes in 1.296 seconds."
"Exported meshes in 1.133 seconds."
Error: #<NoMethodError: undefined method `definition' for nil:NilClass>

EDIT : Okay I tried something else and very interestingly it works fine on another model :/ If I manage to get around it I'll come back. I'm using PC btw.

EDIT 2 : It works fine now I just copy all of my model and paste it onto a new skp file and it works. Love the new Indigo!
