a carpet'd need quite a lot of hair... I don't think, you'll have enough RAM, even if you have enough time...

This is what I got. (Just couldn't help playing this)

Thanks carbon and Macrob.

I also would like to add that after converting Curves to Mesh, we could remove doubles before hitting export. Without doubles removed, it took about 5 mins. before the <WARNING:Ignoring degenerate triangle> disappeared.
