@neo0

Stop it now! Post the image when it's done or better open up your own WIP thread that
you can show off your progress. Please don't use this thread for your WIP's. :wink:

You still have the chance to update your posts and renders along neo0... ouch.

If there was a point underneath your comment please direct it to a relevant thread, simple doesn't mean "not done", the confusion might be irritating I admit.

ok no seriously, this is not a 200 sample/pixel image, you must be joking. it looks like a 10 sample/pixel!
anyway, maybe there is something in your scene that is not setted correctly.

It is.. I tried to get it to work but sketchups texturing tools are less than adaquete.. Applying a texture to anything that has more than one can be pretty hard. The top originally had 100 faces when I imported it, and when I used smoothing, it removed all the separate faces, so I thought it wouldn't have a problem.. But it wouldn't let me scale or move the texture like it does when you apply textures to single faces.

Oh, and by the way, this isn't microsoft advertising at all.. What made you think it was? Just because it depicts a certain real life brand, does that mean it's advocating it?

It's 200 samples, yep. Im using flourescent lighting from the top. Not really anything very unusual.

@neo0

This belongs into another topic and not into this one. Here should simple but finished renderings
find their way into the public and not work in progress nor "I do have a problem" pictures. :twisted:

I guess we'd need a "random WIPs & tests" thread for the "Works in Progress" forum, and then a new "Simple Renderings Thread" for "Finished artwork" forum. Right now the content of this thread is absurdly varied, and there isn't really a place to put random WIPs that are probably never going to make it to the "Finished artwork". Also starting a whole new thread for such works feels sometimes a bit overkill.
