Stur: Not sure what you mean, feel free to explain more :)

Working on the interior among other things, right now i am reading about photostudio setups and this test is about photographing chrome objects :)

Why horrible? I like this one. Just make it a bit thinner, maybe minus 1/3? Plus to use divine proportion (1/1.618) for the side lengths and display lengths. Just an idea  :)

edit: and those buttons on the side could be a bit thinner

Thanks :)
The reason it is horrible, is because i struggled so much last time to make a nice render of it, so hard to make the chrome parts look real.

Thanks for the suggestions, but i dont think i will model anything more on it
I have one myself and this one is quite close to the real thing :)

About the interior: too many flat/homogeneous surfaces are killing the realism, paint/bump/displace ? Excessive parallelism also...

Nice chromes, how about trying the Chrome_Low.jpg setup with the player ?

Served hot ! To pick the nits a bit i'd ask you wether you could make the back emitter reflected only partially on the player screen (and at an angle to break parallels again), as opposed to having it filling the screen like it is now ?

I mean, if the model and shading are okay then it's the surroundings ;)

Nevermind that if you are at something different !

CTZn: Can try that, i have a feeling it will break the reflections as there is only one light, but i will certantly try :)

Some other tests.

Great work, man. Out of curiosity, how fast are these rendering? Even the most simple renders take me a few hours to get good convergence.. Seems like my AMD 6000+ isn't all that great.. :(

Neo0: Thanks :)
Most of them is quite clear by and hour, i mostly let them render for some hours tough.
Your cpu is starting to get old, you should get a new one, and your renders will speed up alot :D

Before when i was using maxwell i had a old amd cpu, and i was quite bad at rendering, but when i got a quad core, and suddenly got alot better, cause i didnt have to wait for hours each render test :P
