Thanks for all the great work on Skindigo - have you got any idea when / if animation will be working on the Mac version?
Thanks in advance!
Simon
Hi,
Animation support for Mac is fairly low on my priority list right now. However, I intend to get it working at some point. I guess my best guess for estimate would be 2-4 months. I want to first make sure that everything else works perfect on mac before I start working on animation.

Just downloaded Indigo as well as Skindigo 2.0.11d (running Mac OS X 10.5.7), put all the plugins into the sketchup 7 plugins folder, and I get this error when I select Indigo from the applications list when I first open Sketchup.
Error Loading File skindigo.rb
Permission denied - /Library/Application Support/
Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/
indigo_2_0_11cpath.txt
Any thoughts?
Many thanks for your time.

Yes, I can see what the problem is. I will work on a fix this week. New version should be available within a few days with the fix. Please check back later. Your patience is appreciated as I work out the final kinks of the Mac version.
Regards,
Dale

Hi Whaat!
I'd like to suggest a little implementation for the 2.0.12 stable release (if you plan to make one: if not for the next release

):
ENVIRONMENT TAB -> SUN LAYER drop-down list: add "off".
This way we can spare some RAM for other light layers/bigger resolution, to simulate a NIGHT condition!
I'll add an example render ASAP.
Do you think it is possible?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but does anyone here know the latest version 1.x.x version of skindigo that supports loading of materials directly (not linked igms)? Im using 1.1.6 and it says it's been disabled

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that it is possible to turn off the sky (or sun) if you have your environment set to Sun and Sky. The sun and sky are tied together in Indigo (currently). They can only be separated into Layers, not turned off AFAIK. If it's possible, though, I will implement it.
Time to buy more RAM

Neo,
The first version to fix material importing is 2.0.4. I believe it will work with Indigo 1.1.18, but you have to make sure the path is set to the right version of Indigo. There is a file called indigo_path.txt in your SketchUp/plugins folder. Either delete this file or edit it to point to Indigo 1.1.18

May I know why I can't load Indigo after I have installed the plugin into my sketchup Pro 7?
It came out a window with the following words:
"Error Loading File skindigo.rb
The system cannot find the file specified."
For your information, I am using Window Vista.

Hi,
Can you please post a screenshot of what is in your Plugins folder and your SkIndigo folder?
Did you use the Windows Installer package to install the plugin?

Perhaps you already know that, but I'd like to point it out either, just to give you something MORE to work on
So, I noticed that there are some problems when I mirror a geometry which I applied to a specular shader, like a glass or something. The problem always shows up when I flip the group/component along an axis, doesn't do anything when I copy or rotate the geometry.
It partially turns black, unevenly and strangely. It often renders black curves over the mirrored surfaces.
I don't know if you already know the problem. If not, I'll render a simple scene to show you the problem. Tell me if you need that.
Thank you a lot!
This bug should be fixed in next version. I also fixed the bug with foward slashes in the material name.
