Hi folks,
I'm wondering if it's possible to give the backside of a face a different texture than the frontside?

AFAIK, it's not possible to do so. But you can extrude this plain mesh, effectively making another side for it.

What I'd really like is a plain mesh double-sided texture rendering. Really useful, for example, for leafs (albedo blended with nullmat through alpha mask). [REQ] anybody?

a single plane with different materials on each side without thickness.
For leaves, that indeed would be a nice thing....

...another trick:
One material attached to one side and NullMaterial attached to the other side.
In this way I can create a plane visible from one side and invisible from the other (e.g. camera side)
With this feature I can create closed rooms (from the light point of view) but transparent from the camera point of view....
