Exporting Problem

Post by scott_s_06 » Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:50 pm

When I try and run the blendigo script I get the following problem as seen in the picture. I used the installer to get blendigo.

Vista 32bit
Python 2.5.4
Blender 2.48a
Indigo 1.0.9

How do I fix this?
I tried searching for tutorials on how to use blendigo, but I kept getting links to 404 not found pages.
Thanks!

Not sure what that is, is that when you install blendigo and you have to tell it where blender is installed and where indigo is installed?

yes thats exactly it. "IndigoWrapper.conf" is the file containing that information.

It should be mentionned though that anyone using the .exe provided by Smartden doesnt have to touch this file because its created/edited automatically by the exe itself.

From a non-blender user point of view, it could be that either indigoWrapper.conf is missing (probably not) or not set as required; 'datadir' seems to contain no path at all (string size = 0).

As suggested check the file again, maybe report its content here ? I don't know how it is read, maybe it can't assume an empty line as a beginning ?

\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts\bpydata
-> indigowrapper.conf

open and edit it ( type where your indigo exe is).
if you did not find this file, you can download the .zip version and install manualy only the file into this directory)

It should be where Van Anders said it would be (look a few posts up) if its not there, then it hasnt been created. Are you using the blendigo installer or the zip file? Because the installer should technically create the file AND configure it for you.

Well it pretty much has to be there or else you have none of the blender default scripts...
