Ooops, sorry ... zipped it with 7zip, but used the bzip settings.
I couldn't get the 7zip uploaded ... *meeh*

I'll upload it again with "normal" zip compression. Gimme 5min! :P :D ;)

edit: Done! Go for it ... ;)

@paulo_gomes

You have to have it in the same folder as Indigo OR you have to copy all
.dll AND .manifest files to the folder you decompressed Violet to! But I
already wrote that in the initial post, ... somehow. :P :D ;)

There are dependencies and Violet needs those dll files!

Hi!

Why do my Violet crashes when i try to open a > 3000x2000 .igi scene???
For example i have to make 6 screenshots (and compose them in Photoshop) to export those big images... I can't use any function of that. Only "Open" works.
With a smaller scenes the problem disappear.

The only reference to my Violet version i think is:
"Uses wxWidgets 2.8.3"

Thank you!!

nicolaragni@hotmail.it:

It is recommended to tonemap the image while it is rendering, recent Indigo releases are embedding Violet functionalities.

If I'm correct Violet is a discontinuated project atm.

I found violet's tonemapper mor realistic and "clear" than indigo..
Anyway i think i still use it and compose the render in photoshop until i found an alternative way :wink:

Thank you very much!

Like its been mentionned up there, Violet is now integrated inside Indigo. If you do want to have it "standalone" however, you'll probably have to dig through the forums to find it. I'm pretty sure Ono didnt re-upload the file to the server when he fixed the site a few months back.

@Vidy

You're welcome mate. As far as I know Violet 0.3 can not load .igi files
created with newer Indigo versions. So I guess we all have to wait for
something to come. ;o))
