If you have a scene that is causing Indigo crashes:
Try and simplify it as much as possible, while still making sure that it crashes.
Then email the scene (.pigs format pls) to me and i'll have a look.

argh, I made the simplified scene with all the emitting meshes and it didn't crashed..
Since I don't have time to render the same scene again for ten and ten hours I temporary conclude that my scenes must be quite balanced for safe rendering on my hardware...

Sorry, but 'balanced' does't mean much as a technical term. You'll have to do a better bug report than that :) I need specifics :)

What I meant is when I render the emitters+complex scene, it crashes. But not the complex scene without the emitters or the emitters+simplified scene. So the meaning of balanced is that I must simplify both the scene and emitters in some way to succeed. Because after theses test I could not find the problem origin and it is probable that it comes from my computer.
I apologize for not telling more useful since I can't do very much to step forward in this problem and my computer wants to sleep :?

I didn't read back through the thread, have you tried letting someone else render the scene that crashes for you to see if it crashes for them?

Sayris just got such an Problem with a scene too.

its crashing from 1 to 15 minutes after render started, on my system too.

So I'll try to reduce this 0.5million Poly bitch... until then I attached the 3 error log Files my Vista 64bit produced on Crash zipped.

I had a strange crashing scene too in a few days ago. Nothing too complex.
Switching to BIH instead of a KD-tree stoped the crashes.

I'm just starting with Indigo and sketchup and do not know ANYTHING about the technical side of renderers. I've had similar crashes with VERY simple scenes - in my case, Indigo crashes when I render using MLT but not with BiMLT.

I have not yet found a good explanation of what the differences are between all of the options - any suggestions for me?
