Volumetric light or god rays

Any idea how to achieve a volumetric light or God’s rays? any one could helpme please?

Hey there!

You first need a light source with parallel light rays (sun, or a concentrated light source).
Then you need a massive scattering volume, in which your camera resides. This could be a giant cube, encompassing your whole scene, with a volumetric material (start from specular material with IOR 1.0).
And you need something to create shadows (mountains, clouds, etc.)
