Yet more Christmas balls...

Post by Phr0stByte » Thu Dec 13, 2007 5:28 am

I know, I know... Just what you wanted to see more of right? Saw some good ones here on the forum lately, so I wanted to make my own e-card kinda thing for friends and family using the idea.

Modeled in Blender
Some slight post-pro in NeatImage and Gimp

Once in a lifetime every 3D artist hast to do Christmas Balls, thats an unwritten law we all follow

But next time before you throw you rendering in some heavy Post Processing smoothing whatever combat, mask the Indigo logo first ;-)

We should start an Indigo Christmas ball battle

Good point on the logo - the original image is still cooking. This was copied to play around with in post, so I still have the original.

actually, I like the shadowish effect of the smoothed logo :) looks kinda popping out ^^
though, you can see some bad gradients (bandings) in the reflections of the balls, which absolutely isn't Indigo's typical behaviour ;) I guess, also a smoothing-error...
