Problem while exporting from max6

Post by Cris » Sun Oct 28, 2007 10:05 am

Hello to all :)

First i would like to congrat everybody working on Indigo and Suvakas for maxigo. I hope this has not been already discussed before, I did a quick search but i have not found what i was looking for.

I am having a problem while exporting (I hope the image size is not too big for the forum):
Image
The box says: unknown property: "IsAnyLinked" in <Interface:FileLinkMgr>

Am I missing something in the documentation? I even tried with a simple sphere with only one texture and the result is the same.

Is Max6 compatible with the current maxigo version (0.9.4a)?

Sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language :?

Thanks by advance if anybody can help me!

Hi Cris,

I think i know where the problem is. Maxigo is checking if there is any actively linked objects (for example from AutoCad file) before it starts exporting the geometry. I suppose, that Max 6 doesn't have that file linking feature at all. That's why it gives this error message and crashes.
I don't have any access to Max 6 so i don't know if i can fix it properly or not. But i'll take a look at it.
Maybe you can do the testing for me?
One thing is sure though - there is no OBJ support in Max 6 so the new "Auto" mode should also not work in 6. Try to use XML or 3DS instead.

I have tried the 3DS and XML mode without success unfortunately.

The box is immediately displayed after clicking the export button, so I can say no object are processed and it make me think you are right on what the problem may be.

If you have some more test you want I do, don't hesitate, I will be happy to help.

Ok. I changed the code a bit, but since I don't have Max 6, then I don't know if it fixes the issue or not.
Copy the Maxigo.mse to your scripts/Maxigo folder and overwrite the previous one.
Let me know if it worked or not.

Here is the file:
