@ Wytraven
LOL moi is for people who enjoy modelling with quality and quantity. modelling these kinda models in blender is a challenge to say the least but i find that the results are normally better in moi due to the sheer ingenuity of modelling interface. sure u may say real men model with poly's but can u really say that if the results are better, modelling using booleans isnt a fair replacement.
PS u just jealous cus blender booleans suck
hehe

@masta: I was only kidding about the MoI thing. The reason I am working with only the most base tools at the moment is for a good reason. In my quest to become an accomplished 3D modeler I want to understand exactly what I am doing so I am starting at the bottom and working up. I want to intimately understand vertices/edges/faces so when I do move on to higher level tools I will be able to visualise while I'm working what the tesselated end result is likely to be.

I'm also commited to dumping windows completely so MoI is not really an option for me. The next version of Blender (2.50) is supposedly going to feature an expansion of the NURBS features. So I will move on to learning the fine art of NURBS once Blender allows me to
I would imagine the Blender team is taking a good hard look at MoI right now as an example of NURBS modelling done right.

if it was fullFOVofEye-taking, I'd fall in! O.o
Actually, you already get that feeling, now! - not too strong, though.
You feel as you're gonna fall.

Hey Matsta,
Here's a clean version of the actuator. I got lazy so I didn't model the labels, but I think it turned out OK otherwise.
