.6 test4 severely washes out a scene, over time, for me.

Last night I started a render, in which the first few minutes looked fine (as in the render looked correct)

Woke up this morning, and it was SEVERELY burned. pure white, except for a few spots that were in shadow.

Nick, are you sure that there isn't a looping bug causing the "burn" effect to happen more than once on the same data? I ask because it seems to get worse over time.

Same scene (which I can email you, if you'd like) in .6 t2 looks fine, as is .5.

Well I know we dont need more compairisons but I found this intresting
6.4 on the Left and 5.7 on the right

It shows that in roughly the same amount of time 5.7 is doing more mutations but The images look very simlar. See the inverted diffrence between them.
Here are the final renders to compair at full resolution
5-7

6-4

Both were with all the same settings on one thread. Intrestingly enough 6.4 used 1/2 - 1/3 the ram and less CPU %
Here are my system specs
P4 2.4 ghz Ht 800 FSB
512 ram (Had plenty remaining with both renders running)
ATI 9600 pro 128
7200 16mb buffer HD

WOW !
i wanted to do similar tests - but failed. How did you do that?
I think, with a bit pimping, this scene is better than the maxwell one.
