Listen, it's not for me to question your decision. I'm sorry if it came across that way. If that's how you feel, I respect this.
It just seems a waste of a great job for you to just sit on it, and generally just a bit of a shame...

Jeez, BF !?

I mean i'm just happy to use the script. I know nothing about python or the internals/formulas/etc. in the exporter. If i find something that looks like an error i post it. I'm sure this applies to a lot of other users here.

Maybe you should post the exporter on a python programmers forum or in one of the Blender forums but i do not think you will get more feedback there than here.

However i wish you luck in finding a community that will give you the attention you need.

Btw. insulting the community is not a good way to get help.

Community?
I was the first getting your old and new script and the first also to say that it doesn't work with python 2.4, now i would like to use it again (due hd crash) and i haven't got an answer (but you gave to another user) and are you -really- complaining about community?
By making something useful for the community doesn't mean that you can insult people.
If you are looking for "elite beta testers" join KT, indigo (the MAIN reason we are talking about) was and is for everybody without any exception.

I feel this is all totally ridiculous. First off, I dont think there is anything wrong with the community at all. Second, if you are going to post something, post it and leave it or don't post it at all. Its like a child saying "I'm taking my ball and going home!" because he didnt get what he wanted - in this case, maybe not enough praise and "Thank yous".
I am not meaning to sound harsh - just telling it the way it looks to me.

Some over reaction?

@ SmartDen: Interesting, indeed, but not too funny, I'd say...

problem wth texture path

Post by pxl666 » Thu Oct 11, 2007 9:46 am

hi
i added two meshes with uv mapped textures to my scene and when i try to export and render indigo says that it cannot load the texture.
examining xml reveals that - textures i added before have path like this:
<path>..\..\..\works3d\textures\deski swierze.jpg</path>

these two i added recently :

<path>..\..\..\..\calitrip2k7\www\imgp0715.jpg</path>

however they were copied/unpacked by blender to the same directory as these previous ones. even if i map them manually wth blendigo i get the same error.

whats the cause?

greetz!

indigo manual NEEEDED

Post by pxl666 » Thu Oct 11, 2007 10:43 am

hi
i feel strange but i have to do this - can anybody do a something like a manual for the current blendigo - explain every option so even the one not really good with phisics can understand it? especially render tab and materials tab.

I KNOW !!! all this supposed to be in indigo manual but not every option is explained, and its explained very mhhmm mathematically? - hard to comprehend...i feel sorry asking for that but im so confused.

I second the above comment - I do feel that Blendigo needs is own doc, nothing extensive. The Blender to Indigo tutorial is very basic and does not explain a lot of the options in Blendigo. Anyone up to it? I would do it myself, but I myself do not understand some of the options.
