@Whaat
I'm currently testing/updating Maxigo's igm import and i tested your Brushed Nickel material. For some reason Indigo kept giving me an error message, that it cant read the Ni.nk file. Then i discovered, that your igm material has a directory name called "nkdata" before the Ni.nk file, but there is no such dir in your Brushed Nickel material folder.
Can you remove the "nkdata" dir name when exporting nk files? So that the *.nk export would be the same as for bitmaps (no directories or etc..just plain filename).

ok will do...nkdata support in SkIndigo is currently weak. I still am not automatically exporting the nkdata file with the IGM. This will change in the future. Also, SkIndigo is only able to import a small group of nkdata materials.
This will all be reworked.

Ok. Gotcha. Nobody currently uses igm anyway so..there is plenty of time. And between you and me - import/export igm's is the most boring stuff for me to script

I do
very handy for saving/loading SSS materials, it can be a chore to input scattering values and Phase function stuff!

@Phr0stByte:
Great material! Can you post the XML so I can create an IGM file for this material? Thanks!

Has anyone been to this site?
http://www.elqx.com/indmatdb/?s=Home
It's a cool site, but how do you go about downloading the materials???
I suppose you could just copy and paste text for some of the materials into the IGS file, but some of the materials have bump maps and custom NK data. Am I missing something?

simply click download? xD
Some (older) mats don't have a download function, but newer ones (higher in the list) should be downloadable...
anyone, who already asked for a "link to the matDB", got two links by me (as long, as I'm the first, who replies^^). One of them is that one

Well... call me blind and dense, but I see no way to download any of them. In fact, now that I see the download count for all of the materials but one as Zero, I would say no one else can figure out how to download them either.
Also - when you go to the site, there is a button to upload materials if you are logged in, but offers you no way to log in or create an account.
To me, it looks to be a site that someone had the good intentions of starting but never finishing. Which is a shame because some of the materials there are pretty cool.

instead of giving matts for downloading wouldn't be simpler to post its settings and texture if matt contains it? i think that the matts repository should like catalogue one looks on the matt render and then on its settings and then one puts same settings in ones scene or uses the given matt as a reference - its more like a manual ...iam wrong?
