SmartDen said that for hundreds of times -.-

Sky gain is an artefact, he'll remove it in next exporter, as it does, exactly, nothing ;)

usually, you need pics of that size, to print.... but if you print, you need less supersamples, anyway, as the edges will look far smoother ;)

write you own exporters ;)

EDIT ok I looked at the script and I can confirm that the sky gain box actually does nothing anyway...so I wouldnt worry about the fact that it is no longer used in Indigo...it just needs to be removed from the UI to stop people messing with it

EDIT 2 cache trees code is not functional -needs a boolean -my fault but no one noticed all this time

EDIT 3
ono in your 09 manual p5 there are some example render settings given and they include russian roulette and strats width which are gone for some time now I think

Ono I think You need to use ASSEMBLER for develop Indigo. It will be more fast....and unique unbiased engine :D

at least in the critical sections of code

@ vux: If you've mastered assembler, do it yourself :P - not too easy, to prog via assembler....

I can do assembly that's slower than C++!

In other words: C++ can be as good or even better than doing it straight in assembly. Think about all the ports you'd have to do for other platforms/architectures. Think about having to optimize the mathematical routines in a huge program that's written in assembly. Think about how much stress it would give and how much hair you would pull out.

I would be bald between now and next week if I'd give it a try!
Heck, I'm getting gray hairs by just thinking about it!
