msvcp71.dll Problem

Post by Cyberdactyl » Sat Jun 23, 2007 3:04 am

At home I was able to upgrade from v0.6l and run v0.7test7 along with the SU rb.

At work I get;

"This application failed to start because msvcp71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

I've uninstalled SU, removed all versions of Indigo, rebooted and reinstalled everything and still get the message.

Any ideas?

Yeah. Search for that DLL on Google. You will find various places to download a copy. Put it in your Indigo directory. Poof....problem gone. At least that's how it worked for me when I installed it in Linux.

Problem is Skecthup HAS the file.

But I did try replacing it thinking it might be corrupt and doing so changed nothing.

What gives you the error SU or Indigo?
If it is indigo, then copy msvcp71.dll into your Indigo dir like PhilBo suggested.

Put in the Indigo directory as well. . .no dice.

Yes, I'm dumbfounded since it worked immediately on my PC at home.

I found that you needed both to work:

MSVCP71.dll

and

msvcr71.dll

Try to add the other and see if it helps.
