Sorry, I can't answer the question, as I don't use Sketchup myself, but

Welcome, ciccio!
To use Alpha Maps in SkIndigo 0.7.1, you need to create two materials in Sketchup.
- Material #1 ("Leaf") has the leaf texture applied to it.
- Material #2 has the alpha map applied to it.
- Set Material #2 type to 'Blend'
In the 'Blend' settings:
- Set Material A to "None" (will replace the black areas of the alpha map)
- Set Material B to "Leaf" (will replace the white areas of the alpha map)
Use the Sketchup Paint Bucket to paint your faces with Material #2 (the Blend Material)
Make sure you are not using version 0.6. It does not support alpha maps.
Attached is a Sketchup file showing an example of using an alpha map to create grass.

Not the thread subject but studying the Whaat's file : are you a French-speaking person Whaat ? (regarding to your maps name for the grass map into the SU material edit menu).

Sorry, I don't speak any French except for the few words I have picked up living in a bi-lingual country. I have some French connections, though. My brother married a girl from the west coast of France and my parents just got back from a vacation in France. I downloaded the textures and never changed the names so that's why they are French.
