Thanks kosmo and guys.
Here's the new version (untouched):
-added bump to the walls (maybe too much, now it looks like render noise)
-added bump to the floor
-beveled the tables
-remodeled the tv with more detail
-added an image that matches the time and style of the image, lol. Still gotta make it glow.
-lamp bulb is now yellowish and not so strong.
Untouched version:

Tonemapped down a bit:

bit of bloom:

How do you reduce bump strength in blendigo?
Thanks for all the help and comments!
regards,
Alvaro

sounds interesting! Could do it with blender's material system, but blendigo's doesn't allow bitmaps in the diffuse channel, only blackbody/rgb emitters.glow:
make it a mesh emitter + diffuse transmitter which is blended with SSS
mmmhhh....will have to figure something out. I'm also curious about manitwo!
Thanks Kosmo, I'll try playing a bit with violet to see if I can get a more similar lighting scheme to the one in the original image.
EDIT:uploaded some tweaked versions above

heheh, Or I can move the mat to cover it!lekane wrote:oh you might want to remove the seam on the floor...
can't wait to see the glowing tv
edit: you could also make it glow in postpro ^^
I already tried adding the glow via postpro but didn't look so good
I'm trying different materials to see if I can achieve anything nearly similar.
Thanks for the interest and support Lekane and guys.

Not a blend of a light!
A light BEHIND the diffuse transmitter
Just like more or less in a real TV
and to get whites being white and not the pure light from behind, you can try to blend it with uniform SSS.
The blackbody emitter should have 6504K, as it's kinda an old TV.
A newer flatscreen would require 9300K
