I challenged myself by saying: can I make a toilet? This is what it looks like.
I copied this image out of the renders folder when Indigo had rendered it for about 15 hours and let indigo continue rendering it. After 23 hours it looked really good with just minor noise in dark areas. Unfortunately, when I closed indigo, it saved half the image. The lower part of it was completely black. So this is the 15 hour version.
I also made a smaller test with a light probe.

Can you post the ceramic material settings?

Looks nice. Funny scene.
The design is too round for my taste, though...

I think it is an excellent design. Maybe try a version with a black seat and seat-lid with slight exponent.

The ceramic is just a white phong material with exponent 100000. Good idea DaveC. A black seat sounds nice.

nice!
just an idea: you could use fluids. maybe a row of closed toilets - one of the
toilets is half open and a water fountain is splashing out. would look nice imo.

Just one crit. The back of the ring of the seat needs to be wider. There's not a lot to sit on there.

Very nice idea!
Maybe you can try to make ceramic whiter?! And the ring with hole a little bit material different, maybe changing reflection and color!

As in, it's
just a toilet?! C'mon
Ono, how civilized would we be without this lowly, simple contraption?
Anyway, good job
Olis . . . this may actually be helpful to me. I may need to render a toilet and/or sink for a cleaning product label, if I can't get the 'perfect' photos for it's layout. The material settings are what I appreciate most . . . simple, but I'm still a little lost when it comes to Indigo materials!

If I interpret this correctly, it's a pure white phong... -> No way to get it whiter, except with different light...
(and white balance)

"safe exit" is already there (if I'm not mistaken) just make sure you close the image window and NOT the console window.
If the image window doesn't want to close then wait a few secs and try again.
PS Nice toilet - it looks comfy

Yes, I think you may be right neepneep. I totally omitted that behaviour. I'm confused now
