Material ID colors

Post by Aflac » Fri Apr 10, 2015 4:06 am

I've noticed in the past few releases that Material ID rendering has become significantly less useful. Whenever I try a Material ID render now Indigo assigns the same exact color to numerous materials in my model, essentially making the image useless. I've attached an example image to illustrate my point. There are around 10 materials from my model that are all rendering the same shade of pink in the Material ID render. Has anyone else noticed this at all?

Aye, I've noticed it as well. Sometimes it works great, sometimes not.

+1

yes, something that can become quite nasty with more complex scenes.
I also already requested some "otimizations" here...

A tag would be useful where I could choose colors by number.
Plus an additional object ID Pass. Or multiple passes, for sure. :D
