Thanks!

Some progress on my concept - wanted to see how it'd look with some reflections on. Not that happy with it, but it's my first 3D concept after all.

Pretty cool.
Not sure I like the side mirrors though.

My youngest son (8) saw the design on the screen and said "wow, that's a cool car. Is that made in Blender ?"
So the design is Kid approved and that is an accomplishment!

My question is: How would you get into this car ?
The concept of how it opens is not clear to me.
iMac 2.93 GHz Quad Core i7. 12 GB memory
ATI Radeon HD 5750M 1024 MB
OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite
Blender 2.72, Blendigo 3.8.25, Indigo 3.8.26

I love your thread Oscar.

and your concept car is pretty cool - awesome how it seems to be glued to the street, and the design of the hood and the lights is outstanding. looks like it's ready to jump forward!

I'm glad you guys like it - and thanks for being honest with its flaws, too. I'm not done with that whole windscreen dome, so it's not openable at the moment, hehe. Will have another think about those mirrors Ono.

Here's a red version of the Viper. Most simple studio setup possible - Indigo did all the hard work. :)

Still working on my own design. Rear spoiler design is probably going to change a bit (don't like the transition between it and the body from some angles).

Dirty render:

Sweet details, especially the intake mesh.

What are you running now hardware wise?

Thanks mate!

It's a 2011 MBP 15", with a quad core i7 at 2,2 ghz, 16 GB RAM, ATI 6750M, 256 GB Crucial M4 SSD and a 1680 x 1050 display. I bought it mainly because it'll be more useful for my studies (I'll be studying for M.Eng in technical design as from next fall), but it also renders about three times faster than my old C2D iMac.
