problems with transparency

Post by tigartos » Tue Jan 29, 2013 7:54 pm

I apologize if this topic has been around, but I'm tired of searching a solution.
I need to make clear water for the pool, which will transmit light. I installed the material Rippled water, but it does not transmit light.
What is my mistake? How to fix it?

Also make sure that the water surface is intersecting the pool walls a bit in order to secure a closed volume.

you are right
It's not as good as I expected, the water looks realistic only when it does not get sunlight.

Also, the water material shoud have less opacity since it's a very thick solid and color absorption is proportional to thickness.
