Custom presets in Image Settings

Post by Coen Naninck » Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:33 am

Please add the ability to save custom render sizes in Image Settings > Presets. The existing five presets are great, but I often want to make a quick render for iPhone 4 screens which are 960 x 640 and have to enter manually.

I know in the SketchUp exporter this can be hacked into, but I don't know of an option in Indigo itself.

Hi Coen,
We'll add this to the TODO list.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm getting scared by the software I bought.

But 100% positive!

Sometimes you need to get scared right?

@Ono: Thanks buddy!

@JK: Indigo is one of the easiest render applications to work with that you can think of. And I say that without reservation. In fact, as I will need to buy Vue at some point which is specialized in nature scenes, but which also has a render module, I thought "I will just do everything in Vue then and just import my SketchUp geometry."; but after the recent changes in 3.4 I don't think I will ever want to change. When the next point release comes out I'll be spending money on upgrading to that. Indigo is a very special product, it does one thing (rendering) only but it does it very, very well (and it's blazing fast!).

Hey,

I was watching Indigo renders for some time plus the forums but I never got a chance to get out of the "hand sketching + postpro process in PS + simple cubic renderings of CAD". That competition render(Indigo competition) I made a couple of months ago was actually my first almost finished image ;). And I do aggree about the simplicity. As an almost complete newbie to the 3d rendering I found Indigo very easy. Although to get really good you still need to spend some time on it(what a surprise ;) ). Manual lacks a good bunch of tutorials that show some advenced techniques(there are 5 tutorials there as I recon). The community is very helpful so nice "tips and tricks" come out almost daily.

I was rather reffering to the speed of some things that get implemented to Indigo. That's impressive.

But enough the OT ;)

Cheers

Which reminds me, I need to make some video tutorials. I'm on YouTube these days posting videos myself, so I'm kinda over that shyness so to speak. I guess I could make some videos and promote the software a bit. If only the basics. Thanks for (inadvertently) reminding me of that.
