Radeon 6850 = blankscreen
Greetings everyone:
When I try to render the caterpillar test scene with GPU acceleration, using my radeon 6850 1gb, the entire monitor flashes a few times, then I get indigo window completely filled with black where the render should be, but the progress bar still runs just like it's rendering properly.
I have the latest openCL drivers.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
My system specs:
Indigo 3 win 64 build
phenom x4 9950
sapphire hd 6850 1gb
8gb ram
win 7 ult 64
Cheers!

Does GPU Rendering work for you on other scenes probably?
The caterpillar scene was somehow fishy from the beginning, I wonder why Glare didn't managed to "fix" it until now...

I did try another test scene, it behaved the same way.
Re: Radeon 6850 = blankscreen
Ok, then I need to know:
Do you use latest Indigo build, version 3.2.2 ??
Are you realy using the latest Drivers, its 11.11 released 16.11.2011?
What does the Log tell you when your render starts about the GPU?
There is some new "--gpu_info" commandline argument that should help identify the issue,
but I don't know how to use it probably

Re: Radeon 6850 = blankscreen
Wow, I updated to the latest version and it worked perfectly!
Now I'm getting 427k samples/s on GPU, up from 10k/s on CPU alone, incredible!
Now to play with my own scenes.

Happy to hear that!
Rule of the thumb for everybody who has Issues with GPU rendering:
"First update your drivers to the latest version!"

In my case, I had the latest drivers, so let's make that:
update drivers + update indigo = success
update drivers + update indigo = success
Re: Radeon 6850 = blankscreen
yes, using latest Indigo version is quite crucial, especially for beat builds
For everybody else with GPU issues, try to add your GPU Info to your problem reports (availible since Indigo 3.2.2).
Simply create a cmd file in the Indigo dir with the following content:
Paste the result and we' can see all your related Hardware, driver and software information.
Here a example of my System:
