How to keep something out of the final render

Post by kdarius » Fri Jan 21, 2011 9:45 am

Alright I hope i can explain this well. I have a room that one wall is all glass; in the images this would be between glass and wall... well in my room i have glass (marked as glass) that i would like to be picking up the in the reflection wall (marked as wall).... Except it is picking up all the area that is between wall and glass.. If i move wall up to where it is picked up in glass the sun light (lamp) does not got through (wall) so it is dark.

Is there a way that I can move wall closer so the reflection is picked up and the light goes through it? Or would this be done with an env map (not sure how to use)

Test 3 is a quick test render ( i had to blur out the clients logos for now because the event has not taken place) but it shows you where i am wanted the reflection from WALL to show up.

Thank you all for your help.

Thank you,
Darius Kirschner

Looks like your best bet would be to use an Environment Map as a background... But then you lose the sunlight. What if you move the 'wall' back but also enlarge it, making sure the sun still gets in?
