ex3ds is a materialflag that determins whether to use xml or 3ds export for the model..

So it seems you're using a material other than indigo ... check that ;)

@Radiance: did you check the Max2Indigo video tutorials? Although very basic, they'll get you started with the different aspects to take into account.
