I want to correct my previous statement about xml format. I coded multi-material support into my wip exporter yesterday and did some testing today. Results are way better than i initially described. I was able to export a 173k poly sphere into xml. Max ran out of memory when sphere had about 180k polys So I'd say, that my current exporter to xmlMesh supports models which have 170k polys. That is more than twice of poly count *.3ds supports.suvakas wrote:Actually i havn't been able to export objects larger than 60-70k polys from max using xml file format.
