Hmm..are you serious ?
Search for "Blend Material" from 3ds Max help file. Indigo material works quite the same way.

Yes Suvakas,Because I am a C4D user.But I like your Maxigo very much.

I've always thought that you're a max user.

Well..blend material combines 2 different materials using either mask ( a texture map) or constant mix amount.

I did a quick example:

You're welcome.
Just to remind you, that you can also blend another blend materials. For example you can use this blue/yellow-checker blend as Material 1 and something else for Material 2 and then you can blend between those and so on.
