Red snow fountain

Post by sth » Tue Oct 30, 2007 10:23 am

I made a quick test of maxigo particles export :D
Still I can't get nice particle fountain :(
Instead of fountain i get only stream of stars moving upwards. It seems that 3dsmax is not calculating gravity force.

@sth
Can you be a bit more specific what exactly is the problem?
Gravity seems to work fine.

Well... That's what I wanted to have :P

Still I can't achieve this... No problems with rendering i.e. with scanline, no error messages, but still it's not working in maxigo :(

I've got also issue with previewing - view changes after exporting. My screen after export looks like this...
Max recalculates forces again (particles are fountain on preview) when i only touch animate slide bar...

Well... I don't know... Works fine in Max 9.
Try to create a camera instead of exporting directly from viewport.

Well.. I'm not sure if this is because of newer Max version or not. It could be related to some kind of other settings as well. Maybe there are options for how particles are updated in viewports or something. I'll try to re-install my Max 8.

[edit]
Is it working with mesher?
