the error occures because you have a curve without faces. remove it to an unvisible layer and all will be ok.

Is V9 not the latest for X64?

If not, can you please advise which version I should use?

Many thanks to all of the replies.

blendigo should work in any version...
simply use python 64bit^^ (oh, and it's not supposed to get *any* particular advantage of 64bit)

*currently* uptodate version is 1.0.5 beta, I think...
