right world scale for sun?!
Hi .. i thought 1 meter should be 1 Blender unit right?
so 5.5 meters would be 5.5 BUs?
Can a sun be that small? And why does it have a black stroke around?

1m = 1m -> 5.5m = 5.5m - correct.
If you don't see the bloom around the sun, it actually is that small. But due to bloom and glare, it looks much wider... (maybe, there also are other effects involved...)
Which version of Indigo are you using and which sky settings? I already discovered this black frame quite some time ago... Didn't test for it in recent releases, so, I dunno, if it still exists...

I'm using indigo 1.0.4 and blendigo 1.0.4 (of course)
The settings are Sun + physical sky with Turb. of 2.15 or so. Nothing special.
even with bloom its not that small as far as i can remember
(its a 40-55mm camera and not 8mm fisheye)
strange.

You missunderstood me... Bloom let it appear bigger.ViennaLinux wrote:even with bloom its not that small as far as i can remember
Oh, and as joegiampaoli pointed out, the dustiness of the atmosphere plays an important role, but this sky-model doesn't calculate atmospheric scattering.
The one, that does, is extreeeemely slow, but therefore more realistic
