I didn't want to open an other mini-thread, so I'm posting this here:
Please can anyone apply me an epidermis to this Mesh?

I'm not good enough in modelling and if you simply resize it, the layers wont fit correctly....
Feel free to use it yourself as SSSTest...

I made a few test, it works well with a moderate polycount mesh (~50 000 faces), and with quads (avoid tris).
To make the dermis, you don't need a highly detailled mesh, so I suggest, provided you work in multires mode, to make a copy of a low detailled version of your mesh (say level 2 or 3), and then use the script on that mesh
.
I'm actually trying to render a head with the new dermis and epidermis settings in indigo, and that script does it just well to create the dermis, even for the thin parts like ears, eyelids etc...
So... good luck !

Hmmm....
It's not a sculpted model... It's THIS
And it has some holes in it... (eyes, ears, nose)
It should be a highly realistic mesh, without using bumpmaps...
So the ear (for example) is fully modelled.

Normally, it doesn't have that much faces: it's subdivided 2 times!
