char format requires a bytes object of length 1

Post by Oscar J » Thu Jul 19, 2012 9:41 am

Another confusing error... What's turning me off is that error messages don't explain the problem in a simple way for normal users to understand and fix. What does this mean? It happens a few seconds after starting the export.

Here is the full exporting process before it stops.

The message is directed at developers really, it's not a blendigo message although it is probably a blendigo bug.

If you want to get into things, you can try to deduce from the sequence wich mesh caused the error then perhaps you will find what makes it different from others, and think of a work-around.

But, the best you can do would be to pack and post the scene, that's a material that developers would definitly use to ease debugging. It doesn't have to be the complete scene, but it must still cause the error.

Alternatively you can mail the report to support@indigorenderer.com if privacy is of importance.

Above all, thank you for reporting.
