If you go back to 2.58a and 3.10.1 you should be fine.

I can also confirm that going back to 2.58a fixes the subdivide/multiresolution modifier Blendigo bug posted earlier.

I'm still using 2.58a, which is probably why this hasn't been an issue. No subD problems here!

SO behind the times... I know, let me just boot up my 386 here...Doug Armand wrote:You luddite!StompinTom wrote:I'm still using 2.58a

Important bug/missing feature for a little while now: curve objects don't get exported, I have to convert them to mesh first which isn't nice when I have to adjust them

+1! I always double my curves so I can convert one to mesh to render it...StompinTom wrote:

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.5x) 3.0.14.1
The curve-doubling does not work when you are animating a curve for example using shape keys.
I have a helix consisting of a path/curve that another CurveCircle is extruded along to simulate a twisted pair cable. I have a shape key that flattens the path.curve to a sinusoidal wave in essence flattening the cable to the vertical plane.
As the shape key is associated with the path/curve, converting the whole object into a mesh would not work as I'd loose the curve in the process. So animating the flattening of the cable will not work (at least not as described
.
Conversion into a mesh must happen at mesh export in order for that to work.

hey Dougal2,
would be good for workflow to directly export in .pigs? Does it sounds interesting for other blendigo users?
thx

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.5x) 3.0.14.1
Hey Doug,
Came across an annoying bug:
I`ve got a light assembly in a group with all its components (housing, bulb, screws, etc.) and I`m instancing the group across a scene. It seems that as soon as a light gets instanced in a group, the power gets all weird and unpredictable, as if it`s ignoring the Emission Scale. This happens with Blackbody emitters with Emission Scale. Otherwise they work fine, it`s only when they`re in a dupligroup.
I`ll keep testing but it`s throwing me off because I need the flexibility and editability to switch components, adjust things, etc.

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.5x) 3.0.14.1
Also, not sure if it`s a buggy Blender build, my addons acting up, or Blendigo, but sometimes when it exports, it moves my dupligrouped objects to a random location. When I go back to Blender, select the objects and press G (as if I`m about to move them), they snap back in place. Really weird bug and it only seems to happen with dupligroups with Indigo emitting materials in them...
EDIT: It seems to move the base objects to one of the dupligroup locations, if that makes sense. It takes the original objects and moves them to the position of one of the Empties that has that dupligroup attached. It`s kind of like it forgets where the 'original' objects are supposed to be and uses one of the dupligroup positions instead... Perhaps something with the instance/dupligroup export code?

Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.5x) 3.0.14.1
Thanks Tom, I'll take a look at those - though I suspect at least one issue may be Blender itself.
Which version are you using at the minute ?

Errr... 2.58 r38094M. Maybe it's time to update but I like my addons.... I guess in that case don't scratch your head about it if it's not obvious, it could already be fixed.dougal2 wrote:Thanks Tom, I'll take a look at those - though I suspect at least one issue may be Blender itself.

Hopefully soon
I've been trying to synchronise my releases with updates from Glare, and they're still busy working on the next release. If we're still waiting by the end of the week, I'll get an interim update released, which includes networking options and a couple of other small fixes.
