Eye holes in a mask

Post by Borgleader » Sat Jul 12, 2008 1:45 pm

Hi!

I've been working on my project for the July competition (i hope someone else started too, I don't want a default win) and Well I need to create holes in the mask for the eyes. Now normally I'd use Loop cut, but...it screws up my subsurf and the mask looses it's "egg shape".

Any ideas? Here's a wireframe screenshot

what i would do is apply the subsurf set to 1 (just to conserve the curvy shape, but not making too much divisions) and then work on the mesh, selecting a face where the eye will be and deleting it, (just the face), then all you have to do is move the vertices wherever you want to achieve the hole shape you're looking for... that's my technique i dont know other's...

Yeah I'm with Daniel on this one, Borg.

Delete a face and then move the vertices to the shape you need.
